A & P Wedding Planners & Event Organisers

Our base is in Vihang Apartment over in Byculla. It’s a residential building so it’s got a different feel than a commercial office block. We do wedding planning and event organizing, which means our living room often ends up full of sample cards, fabric swatches, and long lists of guest names. Byculla is a central part of Mumbai and it’s easy for us to get to different parts of the city from here. Planning weddings is mostly about dealing with people and their different ideas, which can be quite a lot to handle sometimes. We spend a lot of hours on the phone talking to caterers and flower shops and making sure everyone is on the same page. It’s a small family-run thing and we don’t have a big staff. Usually, it’s just the two of us sitting at the kitchen table trying to figure out the budget for someone’s big day. There’s a lot of pressure because people want everything to be right, but we just take it one step at a time. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery being late or the weather changing suddenly, and we just have to fix it on the fly. It’s not always pretty but we get the job done and make sure the event happens. That’s how we’ve been running A & P for years now. The view from our window is just the other buildings, but it feels like home to us.
