A 1 Snacks

A 1 Snacks is located in Lower Parel, right in Shop No 7. If you know this area, you know how fast everything moves. It used to be all mills around here, but now it is all offices and big buildings. We are a small part of that landscape. Our morning starts very early because the workers around here need their snacks and tea before they start their shifts. We spend a lot of time near the fryers and the big pots. It is hot and oily work, and your clothes end up smelling like food by the end of the day. We do not have a lot of space for people to sit down, so most of our customers just grab what they need and head back to their desks or to the train station. Lower Parel is always noisy with the sound of traffic and construction, so our shop is a loud place too. We do not use any fancy ingredients or have a complicated menu. We just make the basic stuff that people like to eat when they are in a hurry. The counter is usually covered in crumbs by noon, and we are constantly wiping it down. It is a tiring job, but seeing the same people every morning makes it feel like we are part of the neighborhood. We just keep the stoves going.
