A 1 Hamrat

We are located in Phase III, specifically at number 11 on the 15th Cross, just off the 100 Feet Road in Mumbai. It’s a fairly easy place to find once you’re in the right neighborhood. We’ve been running A 1 Hamrat for a while now. The shop is a mix of different things we’ve collected and organized over time. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the stock, but we manage to navigate it. We don’t have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just open up the shutters every morning and see what the day brings our way. Usually, it's neighbors coming in for a quick chat or to pick up something they forgot they needed. We keep our records in a simple notebook on the front counter. The street outside can get pretty loud with all the traffic on 100 Feet Road, but it’s much quieter once you turn into our cross. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit if they have to wait for a bit. It’s just us here, no big team or fancy management styles. We handle the cleaning and the stocking ourselves every evening. Some of the shelves are a bit crooked, but they hold the weight just fine. It’s a local business in every sense of the word. We know the milkman and the postman quite well. That’s how we like it.
