99 Events

We’ve been running 99 Events out of Dadar West for a while now. Sunil House Bhaskar Chawl is where we keep our stuff and handle all the planning. It’s a busy spot, but it works for what we do. People around here know where we are. We handle different kinds of gatherings. Sometimes it's small, sometimes it's a bit larger. Most of the work involves getting things set up on time and making sure nothing goes wrong during the day. It’s a lot of running around, honestly. Dadar is always crowded so we have to plan our transport carefully. We started this because we liked being part of the local scene. It isn't always easy, especially when things get chaotic last minute. But we show up. We use the space in the building to store our equipment. If you walk past Bhaskar Chawl, you’ll probably see us loading or unloading something from a van. We just focus on getting the job done. It's mostly about showing up and doing what was asked. There’s no big secret to it, just keeping track of lists and making sure the chairs and lights are where they should be. We’ve stayed in this neighborhood because it's central for us. Sometimes we’re working late into the night just to make sure tomorrow goes right. It’s just how it is.
