Wagheshwar Tiles Co. has its place on the 8-A National Highway. We are located right across from the Lalpar Power House, which is a big landmark for anyone driving by. Our mailing address is Post Box No. 308, but we spend all our time at the actual shop. The highway is always humming with the sound of vehicles, especially the heavy trucks carrying goods across the country. It makes for a noisy work environment, but you get used to it after a week. We deal in all kinds of tiles. The warehouse is stacked high with crates, and moving them around takes up a huge chunk of our day. It is manual labor through and through. We do not have any fancy sales tactics. People come in, look at the tiles, and we tell them what we have in stock. It is very straightforward. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust or grout on them by lunchtime. We take our breaks in a small corner of the office where it is a bit quieter. We have been here long enough to see the power house change over the years. It is a tough business sometimes, especially when the economy slows down, but we just keep showing up and doing the work. There is a sense of pride in just being a local business that has stayed put on the highway for this long.
