I’ve been working here at Sonex Tiles for a while now. We are right over at the Gujarat Housing Board area in Morbi. If you know the Kadiyaboarding place, we are just opposite that at number 69. It is usually pretty busy around here with the ceramic business being what it is in this town. People come in looking for different types of tiles for their floors or walls. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure things are packed right so they don’t break during transport. It is a lot of physical work, especially when the big shipments arrive from the factory and we have to move boxes around. The office isn’t anything fancy, just a desk and some samples on the walls so people can see what they are getting. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in through the door, but that is just part of being in this part of Gujarat. We deal with all sorts of folks, from small house owners to contractors who need a lot of material. Most days start early and end late, especially when we have deadlines to meet for a delivery. We just try to get the orders sorted and out the door without too much fuss. It is a straightforward business really. There is no big mystery to it. We just handle the tiles and try to keep things moving. If you are driving through Morbi, you have probably seen us near the boarding school.
