Our place is located right on the 8-a National Highway. If you know the Dhuva crossing at Lakaddhar, you’ve probably driven right past us. We are just opposite Vardhman Vitrified. It’s a busy stretch of road, always full of dust and big lorries. We deal with ceramics here, so there is a lot of heat from the kilns and plenty of heavy lifting. The yard is usually full of crates. We don't have a lot of time for making things look pretty; we just focus on getting the ceramics out of the door. The sun can be real punishing on this highway, but the work doesn't stop. Inside the plant, it’s a mix of the humming machines and the sound of forklifts. We’ve been at this location for a while, and it’s a good spot for transport. Every day is mostly the same routine. We check the batches, watch the temperatures, and make sure the loading stays on schedule. Sometimes the power goes out and everything gets quiet, which is a weird feeling in a place like this. But mostly it's just noisy and productive. Sico Ceramic Pvt. Ltd. is just a bunch of us working in the heat to keep the supply moving. We don't do much talking; we just get the crates ready for whoever is picking them up. It’s a hard job but it is what we do.
