We are located on Matel Road, which is a busy stretch known for industrial activity. Redstone Granito Pvt. Ltd. is where we spend our time dealing with granite and tiles. The road outside is usually full of dust because of all the construction and the trucks moving back and forth. Our facility is a large shed where we keep the big blocks of stone. It’s loud inside because of the cutting machines and the water running to keep the blades cool. We don't wear suits or have meetings in boardrooms. We’re usually in boots and covered in a bit of stone slurry. The work is physical and you have to be careful with your feet and hands around the heavy slabs. Matel Road can be a tough place in the peak of summer when the sun is beating down on the tin roofs. We have a small area where we keep the finished samples, but it's not a fancy gallery. It's just a place to see the colors. We deal with suppliers and truck drivers all day long. There’s always someone shouting over the noise of the machines to get a point across. We just try to get the pieces cut to the right size and shipped out on time. It’s a basic operation but it keeps a lot of people busy and the work is steady.
