Niro Granite Group

Niro Granite Group is set up out here in Village Morbi, right on National Highway-8A. If you pass by Dua Chokdi, you’re very close to us. Morbi is famous for this kind of work, so there are many businesses like ours around here. We deal with granite and related materials. Our yard is usually full of slabs and blocks that have come in from various places. It’s a dusty environment, that’s just the nature of the business. We spend a lot of time outside or in the open sheds where the stones are kept. The highway is always loud with trucks going back and forth between Rajkot and the ports. We’ve been based in this part of the district for a while. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll see the same faces every day. We don’t use any high-tech sales tactics. Usually, people drive in, look at the stock, and we talk about the price. It’s very straightforward. The weather gets really hot here, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. By afternoon, we are mostly in the office area doing the billing or talking to transporters. It’s a lot of physical work, moving these heavy stones around, but we are used to it by now. The location on the highway makes it easy for the big lorries to load up and head out to other cities. We usually have a bit of a lunch break under the big tree near the front gate.
