Jayco Ceramic

Our place, Jayco Ceramic, sits on Matel Road, which is right off the 8-A National Highway in the Dhuva section. It’s a busy corner of the world. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming across the open fields nearby, which helps with the heat from the factory floor. We have been working out of this location for a while now, and we know most of the drivers who pass through. The daily grind starts early, usually before the sun is all the way up, to get a head start on the day's production. There are stacks of raw materials piled up near the back entrance and finished crates waiting out front. It’s not the quietest place to spend your time, but you get used to the rhythmic thumping of the machinery after a few days. We keep a simple setup in the front office with just enough room for the ledger books and a couple of phones that never seem to stop ringing. When the tea man comes around at eleven, everyone takes a quick break, and then it’s back to it. The road out front gets really busy in the evenings with all the transport heading towards the city. We just keep our heads down and make sure the boxes are taped up right before they go onto the trailers. It is just the way we do things here.
