MAJOR CERAMIC

If you take the Lilapar Road out in the Morbi area, you will see us right across from the Vivyang Papper Mill. Major Ceramic is our business, and we have been based here in the Rajkot district for quite some time. This part of town is very industrial, so there is always a lot of noise and smoke from the various factories. We are right in the middle of it all. Our daily life involves working with clay and the heat from the kilns. We keep the production line moving and check the pieces as they come out to make sure they aren't cracked. It is a pretty tough job, especially during the summer months when it gets incredibly hot inside the shed. We don't have a polished corporate office with air conditioning. Our workspace is right there on the floor where the ceramics are made. You won't find any fancy decorations here. Most of our business is with wholesalers, so we spend a lot of time loading up big lorries that take the goods all over. The road outside is often bumpy and the dust settles on everything, but we just keep going. We know the guys at the paper mill across the street, and we often chat with them during breaks. It’s a straightforward place where we just focus on the manufacturing and making sure the orders are ready on time. It is honest, physical work every single day.
