Down on Lakhdhirpur Road, just off the 8-A National Highway in Morbi, is where you'll find Iris Ceramic. We have the storage area and a place where we keep the records. It isn't the kind of office you see in movies. There are stacks of samples everywhere and the phone rings more than it should. We get a lot of dust from the trucks passing by on the way to the highway. It’s a gritty job. Most of us have been working in ceramics for years, so we don't need a manual to know what we're doing. We just get on with it. The tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks. It's a tough environment sometimes, especially when the weather is hot, but it's home to us. We don't have any polished speeches about what we do. We just make sure the ceramic tiles are ready for whoever needs them. It’s honest work and we do it day after day without much fuss. If the truck is late, we wait. If the tiles are ready, we ship them. That's the whole story.
