Axiom Ceramic

Axiom Ceramic is located over on Lakhdhirpur Road, just off the main 8-A National Highway in Morbi. If you drive down this way, you’ll see plenty of other factories, but we’ve got our own spot where we handle everything. The road can be a bit rough after the rains, which makes it a headache for the big lorries coming in to pick up tiles. Inside the gates, it’s mostly the sound of the press and the cooling fans going all the time. We spend a lot of our morning just sorting through the paperwork and making sure the shifts are covered. It’s a dusty job, and everyone usually has a layer of white powder on their boots by the end of the day. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights; mostly people just come to the office to talk business over a cup of tea from the stall nearby. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoon, so we keep the shutters down to stay cool. It’s a straightforward operation. We make the ceramics, we pack them into the boxes, and we send them out. There isn't much more to it than that. Some days are slower when the machines need a bit of grease or a part replaced, but usually, we stay quite busy with the daily routine of the highway life and the noise of the trucks.
