We’ve been here at Jambudiya on the National Highway for a while now. If you're driving past the Dariyala Hotel, you've probably seen our sign. It gets pretty dusty out here with all the trucks passing by 8-a, but that’s just how it is on the main road. Most days, we are just busy moving crates of tiles and making sure everything is counted right. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons. Inside, it's mostly just us and the inventory. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It's a lot of manual work, checking the finish on the ceramics and talking to the drivers who come to pick up loads. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the highlight of the morning. We know most of the people around here because we’ve been at this spot for years. It’s not a glamorous job, but we keep things moving. There is always someone coming in or out. The highway never really sleeps, so there is always noise in the background while we work. We just focus on the orders we have for the day and try to get home before the traffic gets too bad. It’s a simple setup. We don't spend much time on decorations. Most of our space is taken up by the products anyway. It feels good when a long day is over and the warehouse is finally locked up and we can head home.
