Capson Tiles Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the 8-a National Highway. We are pretty easy to find because we are right near the Dariyalal Resort in Jambudiya. Having the resort as a landmark helps out-of-towners find our gates without getting lost in the shuffle of the highway. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and it’s a busy spot with all the highway traffic going past. Our day starts with the sun coming up over the yard. We have piles of tiles stacked up and there is always a truck being loaded or unloaded by the crew. It is a noisy place, but it's the kind of noise we like because it means we are working. The office is just a basic building where we handle the invoices and talk to the drivers about their routes. We don't have any polished sales pitches or expensive brochures to hand out. Most of our customers come to us because they know we are here and they’ve seen our work before in the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time walking around the site, making sure everything is in order and the inventory is right. It’s not a desk job for most of us. We are out there in the heat, making sure the tiles are packed properly so they don't break on the road during transit. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We have our regulars who stop by for a chat and a quick tea, and we appreciate the local connections we have made.
