Our company, Icon Granito Pvt. Ltd., is based on Old Ghuntu Road in Mahendra Nagar. This area is quite famous for tiles and stone work, so we fit right in. Our facility is a bit large because we need the room for all the slabs and materials we handle. The road outside can get quite dusty with all the transport trucks going back and forth, but that is common around here. We spend a lot of our time inspecting the finish on the products. It is heavy work, and we have to be careful with how we move things around so nothing gets damaged. The office is right at the front, but most of us spend our time out on the floor. Mahendra Nagar has a specific feel to it, very industrial and busy. We have a crew that has been with us for a long time, and everyone knows their specific job. We aren't big on fancy titles or long meetings. We just look at what needs to be shipped out and get to it. Sometimes we have visitors coming to see the different patterns, and we just show them what we have in the warehouse. It is a practical way to run things. The days are long, especially when we have big shipments to prepare, but we just take it one step at a time and keep the place running. It is mostly about keeping up with the schedule and making sure the inventory is right.
