This location is out in Dalpur, which is part of Prantij in the Sabarkantha district. It’s a bit of a trek from the main cities, but this is where the space is. We have a lot of ground here to keep the granite stock. You see trucks coming and going all the time on the road. The air is often thick with the sound of heavy machinery. We aren't doing anything complicated; we just process and move stone. It’s a big operation but we keep the management side of things very simple. We don't have fancy office chairs or polished floors. Most of our day is spent outside or in the open sheds. The weather in Sabarkantha can be quite dry, so we deal with a lot of heat during the afternoons. Everyone here knows their job. Some guys are good at the loading, others know the stone quality just by looking at it from a distance. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the locals know us. We don’t spend much on advertising or trying to look bigger than we are. People find us because they need granite and they know we are out here in Dalpur. It’s a solid business built on just showing up every day and doing the work. When the sun goes down, we lock the gates and head back. It's the same routine most weeks and it works.
