Our spot is tucked away on Matel Road, just off the 8-A NH. We are really close to the Matel Madir, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way to the temple. It’s a good landmark to give people when they get lost trying to find us. Gress Ceramica Pvt. Ltd. is basically a big shed and some office space where we spend most of our daylight hours. The road gets a bit rough during the monsoon, but we manage to get the trucks in and out. Inside, it's mostly just rows of ceramic tiles and the sound of the forklifts. We don’t have those fancy coffee machines or air-conditioned waiting rooms. Usually, customers just stand near the main door and tell us what kind of project they are working on. We walk them through the rows and show them the batches we just got in. Sometimes the colors vary a bit between the batches, so we tell people to make sure they buy enough at once. It’s better than having a mismatched floor later on. We’ve seen a lot of shops come and go around here, but we just keep doing our thing. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, so we usually take a short break then. It’s not a high-speed operation, but we get the orders filled eventually. We just focus on keeping the pallets organized and the trucks moving. It is a simple life and we prefer it that way.
