If you ever drive down Jetpar Road toward Rangpar, you’ll see our place, Genuine Ceramic Pvt. Ltd. We are right there opposite Bela Village. It is a noisy part of Morbi, always full of trucks carrying clay or finished tiles. The dust is something you just live with when you work in ceramics. We have been operating here for a good bit of time. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. The kilns stay hot all day and night, and there is always a layer of fine white powder on everything in the yard. We don't have a big polished showroom with bright lights. Usually, someone is just out front directing traffic or checking the crates before they get loaded up. It gets really hot in the summer months, especially near the ovens, so we drink a lot of water and try to keep moving. Sometimes visitors get lost trying to find the turn-off from the main road, but once you see the village across the way, you know you're in the right spot. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting a shift. We just focus on the stacks of product waiting to go out. There is always something to move or a machine that needs a bit of grease. That's just life on the Jetpar Road. We keep the machines humming and the tea kettle going.
