Captiva Ceramic

If you drive down the Morbi-Jetpar Road towards Bela-Rangpar, you’ll see a lot of places like ours. It’s an industrial area, so there is a lot of dust and the sound of machines everywhere. We spend our days dealing with ceramics, which is heavy and dirty work. The yard is usually full of pallets waiting to be loaded onto trucks. We don’t have a big air-conditioned office with fancy chairs. We just have a small room with a fan that mostly pushes the warm air around. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the routine by heart. We get in early, check the kilns, and start moving the stock. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. By the end of the shift, everyone has a layer of dust on their clothes. We don't spend much time talking about business strategy or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the tiles aren't broken and the orders get out on time. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, which is frustrating but that’s just life here. We aren't a high-tech company, just a bunch of people working with clay and fire. It’s practical, hard work and it doesn't need much more explanation than that.
