Saranga Farmer Producer Company Limited

Saranga Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Baidad, which is in the Sonbhadra district near Mirzapur. We don’t have a complicated setup here. It’s just our group working out of the local area at the 231210 address. We started this because we felt that farmers in our part of Uttar Pradesh needed a collective voice. Sonbhadra is a unique place, and farming here has its own set of rules. We spend our days coordinating between the different members. Sometimes we are sitting on the porch talking about the cost of diesel, and other times we are looking at the ledgers. It’s all very straightforward and honest. We don’t try to sound like a big company because we aren’t one. We are just people from the village who know how to work the land. The company is a tool for us to get better resources. People come by when they have questions or when they need help with their paperwork. We don’t have any fancy signs or advertisements. Our work speaks for itself among the locals. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to keep everything balanced, but we do our best. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we care about what happens to this land. We just want to keep things going for the next generation of farmers in Baidad.
