Samrat Food

Samrat Food is located over at Plot No.496 in the Indrapuram Colony area. We are in Partapur, Meerut, quite close to the Mcte Hostel. Since we are near the hostel, we see a lot of students coming and going all the time. The building is an old one, number 158. It’s not hard to find if you are familiar with this part of Meerut. We mostly deal with food items that people need every day. I spend most of my time checking the inventory and talking to the people who come by. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood except for when the classes let out. We have been here for a good while now. The space inside is a bit cramped because we have a lot of stock piled up. We don't have a big sign or anything fancy like that. People just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit. It’s just how things go around here. We try to be helpful when someone asks for something specific. Most of the work is just routine stuff, like unloading bags or sorting through things. It’s a local business and we keep it that way. The roof leaks a tiny bit in the corner when it rains, so we have to move the sacks around. We just get on with it every day. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting.
