Our mill is located at 742, Naveen Nagar, right in the Sophipur area of Meerut. Sanjay Kamboj is usually around the place making sure things are moving like they should. It’s a rice and general mill, so it’s a working site, not a polished office. There’s usually some noise from the machinery and trucks coming and going with loads of grain throughout the day. We’ve been in this part of Uttar Pradesh for quite some time now. It’s hard work, and the days can be long, especially when it’s harvest time and the pressure is on. We don't have a big fancy staff, just a few local guys who know how to handle the equipment properly. The office is just a small room where we keep the books and take a break when we can. It gets a bit dusty because of the rice, but that’s just part of the job. We don't go for any of those modern management styles. We just talk to the farmers and the buyers directly. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things here at Balaji Agrotech Rice & General Mills. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them ourselves. We don't have a website or any big advertisements. People just know us from being here so long. It’s a practical business and we take it one day at a time. Meerut is our home, and we’re happy to be working right here in Sophipur.
