Ramala Suger Mill

Ramala Suger Mill is located right in Ramala village in the Baghpat district. We are positioned on the main road, quite close to the Kasara railway station. It is a rural area, and the mill is a huge part of the daily life around here. When the season is on, we work through the day and the night without stopping. You can hear the heavy engines running from quite a distance away. We take in the cane from all the local farmers in the district. There is usually a lot of mud and a lot of heavy lifting involved. The office is just a plain, simple building on the mill grounds. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft chairs. It is a place for work, not for showing off. We see a lot of people every day, mostly farmers with their carts lined up. Being near the railway station is helpful for moving our product, which is why we are at this specific spot. We don't spend time talking about visions or goals. We just want to get the sugar processed before the season ends or the weather turns bad. It is a tough job and the hours are very long. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves. We have been part of this village for a long time now.
