Gargi Kidz is a small place for children over at B-105 in Pallavpuram, Meerut. It’s basically a converted house, so it feels very much like a home rather than a big institution. There are toys scattered across the floor most days and colorful drawings stuck to the windows. In the mornings, the street gets a bit blocked up with parents dropping their little ones off before work. You can hear the kids singing or crying depending on the time of day. We have a small outdoor area where they can run around, but it’s not very big. The rooms inside are filled with small chairs and tables that are just the right size for toddlers. It gets pretty loud when everyone is inside at once, especially during lunchtime. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and making sure nobody trips over the building blocks. Meerut can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the shelves and the windowsills at B-105. It’s just a simple, local spot where the neighborhood kids spend their time. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; people usually find us just by walking through Pallavpuram or hearing about us from a neighbor. The daily routine is mostly about keeping the children busy and safe until their parents come back in the afternoon. It is a noisy but happy little corner of the block.
