Khejuri-1 Block Krishikranti Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are a small group of farmers based out of Khejuri-1 Block. Our office is set up at Satyen Kumar Jana’s place in Kharar, right near the Bansgora Bazar in East Midnapore. If you know Mohati, you know the kind of land we work with. It is mostly rural out here and everyone knows everyone. We decided to come together as a producer company because doing things alone was getting difficult. Farming here depends a lot on the seasons and getting the right price for what we grow. We handle the paperwork and the daily coordination from the local office. It is not a fancy setup, just a room with some chairs and a desk where we meet to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where to sell our crops. Most days, you will find someone here sorting out receipts or talking to the other farmers from the block. We try to keep things simple. There are no big bosses here, just people who have been working the soil for a long time. The address in Mohati is easy to find if you are coming from the main market area. We spend a lot of time out in the fields, so the office isn't always full, but this is where our collective work happens. It's just a bunch of us trying to make the farm work pay off a bit better for our families in this part of West Bengal.
