Over in Dariapur, near Contai, life moves at its own pace. Pradyot Pariari is the one who handles the main things for Kapalkundala Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are located right in the village. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. If you ask for the Pariari house, someone will point you in the right direction. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning. It’s mostly just chairs and a table where we sit and talk about what needs to be done. Contai is the nearest big town, so we go there for things we can't get in Dariapur. The name Kapalkundala sounds a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s just the name we chose. Our work is simple. We deal with the farmers and the produce they bring in. There’s a lot of walking involved, going from one field to another. Sometimes we meet under a tree if the office feels too cramped. It’s just how things work in this part of West Bengal. We don’t have a big team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just write down what we need to and try to make sure everyone understands what's happening. It’s a regular life for us, and we don’t expect it to be anything else. Just work and more work every day of the week. Sometimes it gets tiring but we keep at it. It is just us doing our part.
