Contai-Ii Block Krishikranti Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in the Contai-II block of East Midnapore. You can find us at Kalipada Dinda’s place in Uttaradaberia, near Basantia. We are a farmers producer company, so we are deeply involved with the local farming community. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. We usually sit on the veranda or in a small room with a couple of benches. The salt air from the coast sometimes makes things rust a bit faster, but that’s just life here. We spend a lot of time talking about the paddy and what the rains are going to do to the harvest. Kalipada helps keep everything running, and we all pitch in with the paperwork and the heavy lifting. It’s a noisy place sometimes when everyone shows up to talk at once. We don't have any big marketing strategies or promotional materials. We just rely on word of mouth and the fact that we’ve lived here all our lives. People know where to find us if they need help with their produce. It’s a lot of manual work and long days during the season, but we just get on with it. We don't try to make it sound better than it is. It’s just a group of us working together in the village.
