We aren't some big corporation with suits and ties. We are just local people trying to make a living from the land. Sometimes we sit around and figure out who needs what seeds or where we are going to sell the next harvest. It’s a lot of talking and waiting. Jalalkhanbar is home to us, and we try to do right by the folks who live here. Anandamala started because we thought it was better to work together than alone. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. Most people just know where to find us by asking around. It’s a lot of hard work, dirt under the fingernails, and hoping for a good price at the market every year. That’s pretty much all there is to it. We just do what we can with what we have here in Jalalkhanbarcontai. It's a living and it keeps us busy most days of the week, from morning until it gets dark out.
