Albatross Aquaculture Private Limited

We are located in Jalalkhanbar, which is part of the Contai area. Being Albatross Aquaculture, we spend most of our time around water and fish. It’s a private company we started because aquaculture is what people do around here, and we thought we could do it in a more structured way. Our days are spent checking the ponds and making sure the water quality is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of outdoor work, so we’re usually out in the sun or dealing with the mud when it rains. The office is just a small building near the water where we keep the feed and some tools. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning. It’s a practical place for practical work. We have a few people who help with the netting and the feeding schedules. It’s not always predictable. Sometimes the fish don't grow as fast as you want, or the weather causes problems with the ponds. We just handle it as it comes. We aren't doing any big fancy marketing. We just focus on raising healthy fish and getting them to the market in good shape. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours, especially when it’s time to harvest. We’re just local people doing what we know best in this part of Contai. It is hard work, but when the harvest is good, it feels like it was all worth the effort we put in.
