Akandaberia Krishi Ratno Farmer Producer Company Limited

In the village of Akandaberia, out in the Haroa area, we have our little setup for the farmers. We are usually over at Phulsa Molla’s place. It is a simple operation where we come together to talk about the crops and the soil. Farming in Haroa has its own set of problems, and we figured it was better to face them as a group. We call ourselves Krishi Ratno, but we are just regular people who know how to handle a plow and seeds. There is no corporate office here with air conditioning or fancy rugs. We mostly meet under a porch or in a small room to discuss what we need for the next season. Phulsa helps keep things organized so we don't get messy with the paperwork. It is a lot of manual labor and worrying about the rain. If the monsoon is late, we all feel it. We try to help each other get the most out of our small plots of land. People around the village know us, and we are always around if someone needs to talk about their harvest. It is a community thing more than anything else. We don't have big ads or anything like that. We just do the work, share the costs when we can, and hope the market prices are fair. It is just life in Akandaberia, one day at a time.
