Shri Shyam Lal Sarpanch Inter College

Out on Rayasadabad Road in Anora, you will find Shri Shyam Lal Sarpanch Inter College. We are situated in a more rural part of Mathura. The road can be a bit bumpy, but it leads right to our gates. The college is named after a local sarpanch, and we try to keep that local feel. We have students coming in from several nearby villages, often on bicycles or walking. The building is made of solid concrete and has plenty of windows to let the air in. Since we are an inter college, we have older students preparing for their final school years. It is a serious time for them, so the atmosphere is usually quite focused. We have some trees around the perimeter that give a bit of shade during the hot months. The classrooms are large and we have to use every bit of space we have. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly plain. The teachers are mostly men and women from the Mathura district who understand the local way of life. We just follow the state board and make sure the students are ready for their tests. It is a quiet place except for the sound of the kids during their breaks. We are just a local institution serving the people of Anora and the surrounding countryside. Nothing more, nothing less. We stay busy with the records and the classes.
