Saroj Inter College

Saroj Inter College is out here in Bajna, Mathura - 281201. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but it’s where we are. The area is more open and has a different feel than the big cities. We have a decent-sized building with several classrooms. The walls are mostly plain. We have a yard where the students congregate during their free time. It gets quite dusty when the wind blows across the fields near Bajna. Most of our students come from the surrounding villages. They walk or use bicycles. We don't have anything too modern. Just the basics like benches, blackboards, and some fans that creak a little when they’re on high speed. Saroj Inter College has been part of this community for a long time. We know the families and their stories. It’s a quiet life mostly. We don’t have fancy technology or high-tech labs. We just teach the subjects and hope the kids learn something. The staff is like a small family. We sit together during the breaks and talk about the crops or the local news. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just carry on with the windows open. It’s a simple way of running a school. We don't try to be something we're not. People know the address and they know who we are. It’s just a local college for local people and their children to get through school.
