Romex International School

Krishna Nagar is a busy part of Mathura, especially with NH 2 right next to us. Romex International School has been sitting here for quite a while now. We’ve got a lot of families from the local colonies who send their kids over to us. The morning traffic is probably the worst part of the day. You’ve got the highway noise and the local cars all trying to move at once through the small streets. Inside the gate, things are a bit calmer. We have a decent sized building and some space for the kids to stand around during the morning prayer. It’s not like those fancy schools you see in the movies. We have regular classrooms with fans that hum loudly and some old desks that have been around for years. We spend a lot of time on paperwork and making sure the kids aren't running too fast in the hallways. It’s just a normal job for all of us. Some of us have been working here since the school first opened. We know the names of most of the parents and which kids are likely to forget their books at home. Mathura is a busy city, and being right on the highway means we see everyone passing by. We don’t do anything fancy here. We just open up at eight, teach the classes, and go home when the sun starts to go down.
