Gusaiyan Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Mohalla Nandgaon. We work out of Pooran Lal Gusaiyan’s place. It’s a local company made up of farmers from around here. We don't have a big corporate office or a lot of staff members. It’s just us, the people who work the land every day. Mohalla Nandgaon is a small area, so we all know each other anyway. We decided to call ourselves Gusaiyan Farmer Producer Company Limited so we could handle our business in a more organized way. Pooran Lal helps out with the space and keeping track of things. We spend most of our time thinking about the rain and the crops. Farming is a tough job and it doesn't leave much time for anything else. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing plans. We just want to grow our vegetables and grains and get them to market. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate. But we stay at it because it’s what we've always done. We share tools and advice whenever someone needs it. That’s the whole point of having this producer company. It’s just a way for us neighbors in Nandgaon to look out for each other and make sure we can keep our farms going. It’s honest work and we are just trying to get by like everyone else. We don't need things to be complicated.
