Dheeray Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in the village of Bamniya Bakhel. If you ask for Davi Lal, anyone will point you to the right house. We are tucked away in Tehsil Mandwa, which is a beautiful place even if it is a bit far from the main roads. We started this because we wanted a way for people in Bamniya Bakhel to work together. It’s not a polished business by any means. Our office is just a room with some basic furniture where we keep our records and meet with the local growers. Davi Lal is a big part of why we can even do this. He keeps things running when things get hectic. We spend a lot of time walking through the village or standing by the road waiting for deliveries. There is always something that needs fixing or a problem that needs a quick solution. We don't use big words or have long meetings. We just talk about what needs to be done today and then we go out and do it. Mandwa is a tight community, and we like that everyone knows each other. It makes the work feel more like helping out friends than running a company. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to finish our work by lamplight, but we don't complain. It’s just our way of life in the village.
