Bhuwan Bharti Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Babai, over at 7716/8. We’re at the place of Sh Santosh Kumar and Narmada Pd. Our area in MP is big on farming, and that’s what we do. This company isn't anything fancy. It’s just a way for the local farmers to get organized. We spend a lot of time dealing with the daily realities of the farm. One day it’s about the cost of seeds, and the next it’s about why the truck is late. We don't have a polished way of doing things. Our office is just a room where we keep the books and meet up. Most of the people involved have been farming their whole lives. We know the soil in Babai and we know what it takes to get a crop out of the ground. The company was started to help us get a better handle on the selling side of things. It’s tough being a single farmer trying to negotiate with big buyers. We feel better doing it together. There’s no corporate fluff here. We speak plainly and we work hard. Sometimes things go wrong, and we have to figure it out as we go. That’s just part of the life. We don't have any big missions, just the goal of making sure we can keep our farms going for another year. It’s honest, simple work by people who live right here in the community.
