Nutan Beauty Parlour

We are based in Niphad, specifically at the Guraji Nana Shopping Center. Our little parlor is part of the Bulajinana Navre Shankur building. It’s a local spot where the ladies from the surrounding areas come when they need to get their hair done or get some basic beauty work. We’ve been in this shopping center for a while now. It's not a huge place, just a simple room with the essential equipment we need to do our jobs. Most of the time it’s just the owner and maybe one helper. We don't use any high-tech machines or anything like that. It’s all traditional ways of doing things, like threading with cotton thread and using standard creams for facials. People in Niphad know us because we’ve been around for a bit. It’s a small town feel here, so we talk a lot with our customers about their families and what's happening in the village. It’s not just about the work; it’s about the connection. Sometimes the shop is empty and we just tidy up, and other days everyone decides to come at the same time and we have to ask people to wait their turn. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just some chairs. But people don't seem to mind. We just do our best to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. The market can be noisy but we focus on the task.
