Gajanan Hair Salon sits right on the Main Road in Niphad. If you know where the Z P School is, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. It’s a busy spot especially when the kids are heading home or when the market is full. I’ve lived in Niphad my whole life, so opening a shop here felt right. The place isn't very big, but it fits what we need. We have the usual chairs and a big mirror that’s seen better days, but it does the job. Most of our customers are locals who just want a quick trim or a shave before they head back to work or home to their families. We don't use those expensive products you see on TV. Just basic stuff that works. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise, but nobody seems to mind much. We talk about the crops or the weather mostly. It’s a comfortable place to sit for twenty minutes. I try to keep things simple and honest. No big promises, just a haircut. My father taught me the trade, and I’ve been doing it ever since. The shop opens early because people in Niphad start their day before the sun is even fully up. It gets crowded on weekends, so sometimes there's a wait. We just have a few old newspapers for people to read while they wait their turn. It’s just how we do things here. Life moves slow in some ways, but the shop stays busy enough.
