Kshitija Beauty Parlour

Kshitija Beauty Parlour is out in Vinchur, which is part of the Niphad taluka in Nashik. We are situated on the Main Road, very close to Yamuna Hospital. It’s a convenient spot because people coming to the hospital or the local market often see our sign and drop in. I’ve been running this parlor for a while now, and it’s mostly just a local hangout for the women in the village and the surrounding farms. The shop is simple, with just the basic tools I need for hair cutting and skin care. Vinchur isn't a huge place, so word travels fast, and that’s how I’ve kept the business going all these years. On market days, it gets really hectic around here with all the tractors and buses passing by on the main road. I usually keep the door half-shut to keep the dust out. Inside, it’s quiet enough to have a conversation. I try to keep the prices where people can afford them without thinking twice. Sometimes I bring my own lunch and eat in the back room between customers. It’s not a glamorous job, but I like being my own boss and seeing familiar faces every day. My family helps me out with the cleaning on weekends. If you’re ever heading towards Niphad and pass Yamuna Hospital, you’ll likely see my shop sitting right there on the roadside.
