K. B. Sons

K. B. Sons has been on Station Road for as long as most people can remember. Being near the station means there is always a lot of foot traffic and noise, which we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We started as a small family operation and we’ve kept it that way for the most part. We don’t see the need for a lot of fancy labels or marketing. People know where we are if they need us. Our shop is a bit cluttered, full of the things we sell and the tools we use to keep the business running. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who come in. Some of them have been buying from us since we first opened our doors. We handle our own stocking and sales, so we’re always on our feet. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what people need and make a decent living. If you walk down Station Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded now, but it still does the job. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we prefer doing business the old-fashioned way, person to person. We just stick to what we know and try to be fair with everyone.
