Our shop is right there on the Main Line in Gunj Bazaar, at number 20. It’s a loud place, full of people moving stuff around and trucks trying to get through the narrow lanes. Bhailal Trikamlal & Co has been part of this market for a long time. You can hear the noise from the bazaar all day long, which took some getting used to. We start early, usually before the heat really sets in. The floors are old stone and the walls have layers of paint from over the years. We handle all the orders coming in from the market and the surrounding areas. It’s not a quiet office job; there’s always someone shouting or a cart rattling past the front door. We keep our ledgers on the desk and try to stay organized, though it gets messy when we’re busy. The Gunj Bazaar area has changed a lot, but our spot stays much the same. Most of our day is spent checking stock and talking to the regulars who stop by. We don't have much for decorations, just the essentials for doing business. Sometimes we sit out front for a minute if there’s a break in the rain or the sun isn't too hot. It’s a busy life here but it’s what we know. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
