V S V Blue Metals

The yard is located in Antipatti Village, not too far from the Theni Medical College. You can usually hear the sound of the machines if you’re walking nearby. We deal mostly with blue metals and crushed stone. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the loaders. The ground is always covered in grey dust, which is just part of the job when you work with rocks. We get a lot of people coming by from the village and the surrounding areas in Theni. Some days the sun is really hot and we have to take breaks in the shade of the shed. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the trucks get loaded properly before they head out. It's a simple setup. The road leading up to the medical college gets busy, so we have to watch the traffic when the big lorries are turning. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains and the mud gets thick, but we try to stay on schedule. Most of the people around here know us by name. We don't bother with fancy signs or anything. If you need metal for a foundation or a road, you just come down to the village and look for our site. It’s been this way for a while now. We keep the machines running as much as we can during the daylight hours. It's hard on the equipment, but we keep them serviced.
