Dharani Metals

Dharani Metals is located at 21/A, Kamaraj Nagar, right on Pandian Street in Venkata Nagar. It is a lively spot to be, and we are surrounded by other small shops and houses. The street is somewhat narrow, so things can get a bit cramped when we are loading or unloading materials. We have been at this address for quite a while now, and the locals all know us by name. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the metal so there is still room to walk around. There is always a layer of fine dust on the shelves no matter how much we sweep, but that is just part of dealing with metal all day. We have a few old fans that creak a bit, but they do the job of keeping the air moving. Usually, there is a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep things from being too quiet. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room; if someone comes in, one of us just wipes our hands and goes over to talk to them. It is very informal and direct. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during the evening when it starts to cool down a bit. We like being part of the Venkata Nagar community. It is a good place to run a business without all the pressure of the big commercial districts.
