Sri Sairam Blue Metal

Our place, Sri Sairam Blue Metal, is tucked into State Bank Colony over here in Vadipatti. It’s a bit of a dusty spot at number 54, but that’s part of the trade when you’re dealing with blue metal all day. We spend most of our time out in the yard, checking the piles and making sure the loaders are working. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a clean shirt for long. People come to us from all over the local area when they’re starting a new building or fixing up a path. We try to keep enough stock so nobody has to wait too long. Sometimes the supply from the quarry is a bit thin, and those days are frustrating, but we do what we can. The noise of the machinery is something you stop hearing after a while. We have a small crew here, and we all know what needs to be done without much talking about it. It’s simple work, really. You take the stone, you sort it, and you sell it. We’ve been part of the Vadipatti community for a while, and it’s nice knowing the materials we provide are going into houses right down the street. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. Most days go by in a blur of truck engines and gravel. We just keep at it and hope the machines don't give us too much trouble tomorrow morning.
