Muthu Silicate Industries

Down in Ayynapuram, specifically at 24/12 near the Panaiyur P.O., is where you’ll find Muthu Silicate Industries. It’s a bit out of the main city center, which suits the kind of work we do. Dealing with silicates can be messy, so we need the space and the open air. The facility isn't much to look at from the outside, just some gates and some industrial buildings. Inside, it’s a lot of bags, barrels, and processing equipment. We have a handful of workers who have been living in the area for a long time. It’s a local operation through and through. We don't have a website with flashy graphics or a marketing team. Word of mouth usually gets people to our door. We spend our time monitoring the heat and the mixtures to make sure the silicate is coming out right. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months. The office is just a small room off to the side with a ceiling fan that clicks. We keep our logs in big physical ledgers mostly, though we use the computer for the taxes. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just make the product, load the trucks, and start over again the next day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Panaiyur is a quiet place and we like the peace out here.
