Morning Glory Playgroup & Nursery School Daycare

Morning Glory Playgroup & Nursery School Daycare sits along the Madurai Ring Road. Most people know it as the Airport Road area. It’s a bit out from the main city crush, which makes dropping off easier for parents who work nearby. We have the daycare running alongside the nursery classes. The building is just a normal place, nothing too modern, but it works for what we do. We have some plastic slides in the corner and lots of floor mats. The day starts around 8:30 when the first kids arrive. Some are still sleepy. We have a routine where we do some singing and then move on to basic numbers. Since it is a daycare too, some kids stay until the evening. We have a small kitchen area where we heat up the lunches parents send. It gets very warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open for the breeze. There are plenty of toys that have seen better days, but the children still love them. We don't really do big events or anything. It’s just us looking after the neighborhood children and making sure they learn a few things before they move on to the big schools. The staff here are mostly local women from Andar Kottaram. We know most of the families by name because we see them every single day at the gate. It is a simple life here at the school, just keeping the kids busy and happy.
