K P K Nursery & Primary School

We are over in Ganesan Colony, right in the Subbiah Puram area. It’s a quiet enough spot for the kids. Most days start pretty early here. You’ll see the little ones arriving with their bags, some looking a bit sleepy still. We have the nursery classes and the primary sections all in the same building. It isn't a massive place, but it works for what we do. The classrooms have the usual stuff, desks and boards and drawings pinned up on the walls. We spend a lot of time just getting through the basic lessons. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when they are out for their break, but that is just how it goes with children around. The teachers here are local people mostly. We know the parents and they know us. It feels more like a small community than a big institution. We keep things simple. There is a lot of routine, from the morning prayer to the time everyone heads home in the afternoon. We have been here for a while now, watching different groups of kids grow up and move on to the bigger schools nearby. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood. Nothing fancy, just a place where the young ones come to learn their letters and numbers. Sometimes we have to deal with rain coming in or the heat in the afternoons, but we manage. Everyone just does their job and we try to keep the place tidy.
