Dhanalakshmi Blue Metals

Out here at 148 South Street in Kundampatti, things are usually pretty noisy. Being in the blue metals business means there is always something being crushed or loaded onto a trailer. We have been operating from this exact spot for a good while, and most of the locals are used to the sound of our machinery by now. It is hard work, and everything ends up covered in a bit of grit by the end of the shift. We spend our days dealing with different sizes of stones and aggregate. The yard is usually full of tall piles, just waiting to be sent out to various building sites nearby. We do not really do the whole corporate thing; we are just a bunch of people working with rock and dust. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend a whole afternoon fixing a belt or a motor, which is just part of the routine. We stay busy with the local demand. The trucks come and go all day long. South Street is where we call home for the business. It is a practical environment, and we do not spend much time on fancy talk. We just make sure the blue metal is ready when someone needs it. It is tiring work, especially when the sun is beating down on Kundampatti, but we get it done. Each day is more or less the same, focusing on the piles of stone out back.
