Arising Kidz Play School

Arising Kidz Play School has been sitting here on 2nd Main Road in Ellis Nagar for a while now. If you walk past our building in Madurai, you’ll probably hear the noise before you see us. It gets pretty loud when the kids are having their snack time or running around the small play area we have set up. We started this place because we noticed there weren't many spots nearby where parents could just leave their toddlers and know they’re okay for a few hours. The rooms are filled with plastic chairs, some faded posters on the walls, and plenty of toys that have seen better days. Our staff mostly consists of local ladies from around the Bypass Road area who know the families here by name. It isn't a fancy setup with air conditioning or high-tech gadgets, but we keep the floors swept and the gate locked. Usually, the mornings are a bit of a mess with bags and water bottles everywhere, but we manage to get things sorted by noon. People stop by to ask about admissions while they are out doing their morning shopping. We don't have a big front office, just a desk near the entrance where someone sits to help out. It's a busy little corner of Madurai and we just try to keep the kids busy until their parents come back at pick-up time. It is a lot of work, but seeing the little ones learn to share their toys makes the long days worth it.
